Vos, Josephus Hubert 

He was trained by F. Portaels in Brussels, Belgium and by F. Cormon in Paris. In 1892 he left for Chicago, USA, to work as an Acting Commissioner of Fine Arts at the World Exposition. He is a naturalized American and made fame by portraying the higher strata of the society.

 

In 1986 he went on a four-year tour to the Far East portraying the most representative people whom one of them is the Empress Dowager of China.
